A Conversation with Aurélia Engel:
"Ways of Seeing, Remembering and Forgetting Françoise Gilot's Travel Sketchbooks"
Aurélia Engel holds degrees in architecture from the New School of Architecture in San Diego, California and the École Spéciale d'Architecture, Paris, as well as in Museum Studies from Harvard University. She is the curator of the Gilot Archives. She will give a slide presentation on her mother’s life and the Taschen project, particularly the artist’s process and purpose in making the sketchbooks, and her innovative techniques in creating the new lithographs.
